Summer is just around the corner and I am already seeking out all the fun food ideas for upcoming BBQs that I know are coming. Cheers to Healthy Summer Dipping!
Here is one that I made for a recent viewing party of the Big Little Lies season 2 premier. Most of the guests share a similar lifestyle to mine, mostly wholesome food groups, with a few “cheat” type foods on weekends. So keeping that in mind, I chose to make a dip that could be considered both wholesome and cheat food.
Healthy Summer Dipping recipe:
1 medium avocado
1 cup Greek Yogurt plain 2%
1 tbsp tahini butter
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 oz chopped scallions
1 pinch of pepper
1 pinch sea salt
1 squeeze of half lemon
You will need a food processor for this. Blend for up to 30 seconds. Sample and season more to taste if necessary. I added more salt to mine. Garnish with a few chopped parts of the scallion stem.
Serve with tortilla chips and choice of veggies like sliced cucumber and baby carrots.
It serves up to 6 people. Enjoy!
