3 Ways to Get a Brand’s Attention
Did you know the market for influencers and content creators is expected to reach $16.4B this year? If getting brand sponsorships and deals is something you want to do, there’s definitely income to be made but first… you have to get the brand’s attention! Here are 3 ways to get a brand’s attention:
3 Ways to Get a Brand’s Attention
1. Firstly, follow and engage with the brands you love – liking and commenting goes a long way. This action also starts a potential dialogue with whomever manages the brand’s social account. By following your intended brands, you can also treat it as research.
For instance, look for the current partners and ambassadors they work with. You can see which qualities they embody and work to make them your own. It helps to know a brand’s aesthetic in regards to how you can also show up in the social media space through your feed.
2. Similarly, tag your ideal brands in your own posts (when relevant!). It’s one of the smartest ways to grab their attention. Remember, each time you tag a brand, they get notified. The future is wide open from there. One of my favorite stories to share is mine with Fabletics. I’ve worked with them for 5 years now and this relationship would not have happened without me tagging them!
For example, I really loved a pair of their tights I was wearing for lunch and randomly had my friend take a photo of me outside of the restaurant. The post caught their attention! Luckily, the social media manager of Fabletics, at the time, reached out and asked me to join their partnership program and shoot for an email campaign. The rest, as they say, is history. Don’t be afraid to show your love for your favorite brands by tagging, because you never know who’s watching on the brand’s side.

3. In addition to tagging and engaging, commit to your niche on your own feed and through others’. By focusing on accounts in a similar niche as yours, your likelihood is higher for getting in front of your desired brand’s eyes. One of the things I most enjoy about social media is how connected we all are, many through just a few degrees of separation.
On this topic, my own focus on platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn has become more defined. The more defined, the easier it is for brands with a similar mindset to mine, to find me. To clarify, I committed to making content that is educational and entertaining under content pillars like wellness and business building. It is specific and helps me connect with others like myself. Like attracts like as they say!

Lastly, make sure you are easy to contact. Have your email/phone contact in your bio and/or the action buttons so when the time is right, your dream brand deal can get to you! I believe in you and wish you well along this journey! The need for influencers is growing at rapid speeds and there is plenty of room for YOU too.
